MARKLAND MODEL 502 SUSPENDED SOLIDS METER
TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES

Ultrasonic attenuation can measure the density and concentration of sludges and slurries that are too thick for optical Turbidimeters. Sonic Vibrations help keep sensors from fouling and color is not important. Ultrasonic transducers contain no hazardous nuclear material and there is no inherent source decay to cause drift. Simplified microprocessor assisted pushbutton calibration locks calibration parameters into permanent non-volatile memory. Automatic dynamic damping adjusts for non-homogeneous material such as sewage sludge. Advanced digital self-diagnostics greatly simplify debugging. Ultrasonic Suspended Solids Meters bridge the gap where optical systems won't work and where the cost of nuclear systems is not warranted.
